Wednesday, June 6, 2018:   The streets of Greenwich, England.  A typical English town.
Narrow streets, lots of bicycles, some motorcycles, a few cars, and many people walking.

This place, like most in England, has a city market.  Let's go in and look around.

Bread and cakes.

Winston Churchill is still much remembered as Prime Minister during WWII.

There seems to be taverns on every street corner.

Music is heard in many places too.  Put a few Pence in for the musician.

Lunch was at Ye Old Rose and Crown, established during the reign of Queen Elizabeth in the 1600s, rebuilt in 1888.

The bar is a busy place all day and well into the night.

Mark and Paula enjoyed the atmosphere of the place.

Then it was time for a British favorite, Fish N' Chips.  Who could ask for more?

Quote of the day:    Greenwich is a very interesting place.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
