Monday, December 25, 2017:  Breakfast on Christmas Day.  Chef Paula was up early to make Puffy Pancakes.

According to Paula, the Ingredients are:

4

Large Eggs

1 cup

Whole Milk

1 cup

All purpose flour

2 tablespoon

Granulated sugar

¼ teaspoon

Salt

2 tablespoons

Margarine or butter

Directions:

1.   Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

2.   Prepare pancake:  Place 10-inch skillet and heat until very hot.
In blender at medium speed, combine eggs, milk, four, sugar and salt until smooth.
Remove skillet from oven; add margarine and swirl until melted.
Pour batter into hot skillet; bake 15 minutes or until puffy and golde
n.

On a plate, a pancake is over an inch thick, even after it has settled.  Great with maple syrup.
It was 14 degrees below zero that morning with a 35 below wind chill.
Good thing there were a few calories in breakfast to keep them going that day.

Then Ginger and Denny Brown stopped over.  Paula and Ginger were born the same day, but they won't say what year!
Wonderful people, Ginger and Denny are retired.

Ginger and Paula had a lot of catching up to do, as women do, in the Galley.

Denny was interested in Deep Diver Paula's book on diving.

After dinner, it was time for Twas the Night Before Christmas, read by Mark.

No one could pass up the cookies.

Quote of the day:    It is a good thing that there are no calories in holiday cookies!   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
