Wednesday, September 27, 2017:  The first signs of Halloween decorations started appearing.
 

Jack Pearadin was at 4th and Washington Streets in Brainerd selling pumpkins and squash. 
You can see Brainerd's famous concrete water tower in the background.
 

Fall leaves lit up with color, just as clouds were approaching.
 

Colors grew while clouds moved in to eventually crowd away the sun.
 

The birds must have figured it out because they gathered into flocks and started heading south.
