Sunday, September 17, 2017:  The sound of bells was coming from the front steps of Brainerd City Hall.
 

They were rung by members of the Captain Robert Orr Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
Paula is seen here because she is working toward becoming a part of this prestigious group.
 

Members often proudly show their DAR pin.  One has a star spangled red, white and blue watch.  Very patriotic people.
 

The DAR also tends this plush garden in north Brainerd. 
You might remember the DAR also honors Pearl Harbor day. 
This group put on ceremonies December 7, 2016, at the All Veterans Memorial in Brainerd.
