They passed by quite a few interesting people.  The plan was for the Vikes to defeat the San Francisco 49ers.

Paula even considered a new hat. 
 

Lots of pageantry on the field with hundreds of cheerleaders, some as young as four.
 

The drums beat while all of this was happening on the field.
 

Then the horn sounded.  Time to start the game. 
 

Lots of action on the field with an almost full stadium.  Maximum seating is 66,000.   
 

Plenty of action on the field.
 

Plenty of good looking cheerleaders too!
 

Play after play, the Vikings were losing.
 

The Vikes did score on occasion.
 

Fans went wild when points were scored and were sometimes painted by digital overlays on overhead monitors.
 

Then in the last few seconds of the game.......
 

A Vikings touchdown to defeat the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 32 to 31. 
 

The crowd went wild!!!   
 

Enthusiastic Vikings fans cheered.
 

The flags were flown.
Interestingly, half of the spectators left in the third quarter because it looked like the Vikings would lose.
They missed a great finale.
 

Then it was out on the streets of Minneapolis on that balmy summer evening.  The town was alive with happy fans.
