That day in Brainerd was overcast so the photos did not turn out as well
as hoped. |

Cars were going with headlamps on for good reason.
Some 80% of the sun's light was blocked by the moon.

Yes, people everywhere were donning special eclipse safe glasses to see
the event. The town was abuzz with it.

The sky turned a bit dark, in the middle of
the day. It was 1:04 pm in Brainerd, MN, to be exact. |

The moon moved from being on the lower right side of the sun to being on
the lower left side of the sun. |

Still more watching. Can you get neck strain from doing that? |

It was a short lived event, lasting less than an hour, before the sun
returned. |
