Saturday, August 5, 2017:
Mark rode a ferry boat to
Mackinac Island. |
![]() |
One thing about this place is
that there are no cars. Many get around by horse and buggy. |
![]() |
Some opt for bicycles to tour the place. |
![]() |
Horseback riding is also popular. |
![]() |
Historic downtown Mackinac was a busy place even though
there are no cars. |
![]() |
Mackinac Island is famous for fudge. Visitors see how it
is made. |
![]() |
Fudge comes in many types and is cut into pieces just right in
size. |
![]() |
Entertainment is found in many establishments. Just sing
along, if you can. |
![]() |
The Island is fun for young and old alike. |
![]() |
Lots of photos taken everywhere. |
![]() |
There are some beautiful homes along with bed and breakfasts
on the island too. |
![]() |
The local folks installed a Statue of Liberty to greet
visitors as they come into port. |
![]() |
The port is chock full of boats. |
![]() |
Out on the water, hydro-boats were crossing the gap between
the mainland and Mackinac Island. |
