Fort Mackinac stands high on a hill, protecting Mackinac Island. |

Soldiers were checking their pocket watches because it was almost time to
show their skill on the parade ground. |

They were 1800s history re-enactors, marching and
showing visitors what life was like back then. |
 |
|
A demonstrated their skill in loading and firing weapons of
the period. |
 |
|
This canon looks to the horizon and any potential invaders. |
 |
|
Soldiers demonstrated loading the canon. |
 |
|
Then it was set off with a huge roar. Nicely done! |
