Wednesday,
July 5, 2017:
Deep Diver Paula persuaded Skipper Mark to take her out on the
Minnow
on Gilbert lake. |
 |

She donned SCUBA diving gear to look for
lost items at a neighbor's dock. Paula then ran a mental checklist for her gear and tested the water before taking the plunge.

|
In the water she went from the bow of the
Minnow. |
 |
|
Then she descended to the depths of the
lake. |
 |
|
Meanwhile, the skipper was topside watching
for boat traffic with a SCUBA dive flag visible to all in the area.
|
 |
|
Well, only two Kayakers came by. Not
a problem. |
 |
|
Then Paula was up to orient herself.
She was snagged in weeds. She isn't called "Swamp Thing" for
nothing! |
 |
|
Then
she needed a tow to another part of the lake. The safest way was to run the boat in reverse so there was no chance of her being caught in the engine propeller. |
 |
|
Finally, she ran low on air and was up for
the day. |
 |
