2017: Mystery
Diners Mark and Paula stopped at the
Local 218
at 723 Mill Avenue in NE Brainerd, MN. The sign says Hometown Stomping Ground so they decided to check it out. |
There was P.J. Severson, owner and all
around good guy. He is famous for making and serving "The Good
Oldie." It is an Old Fashioned, which dates back to the 1880s with Rye, bitters, brown sugar, orange peal and more. Very few bartenders know how to do it right. P.J has tested and improved the recipe for success. |
Dinner was served by the friendly staff.
It is hard not to like this place. |
Deep Diver Paula's
favorite is Fish N' Chips. Here it is Cod, salt, vinega, potatoes, and tartar sauce. She was not
disappointed. Mark tried the Chicken Pot Pie with puff pastry, peas, mushrooms, and carrots. He liked it. Just right for dinner. Yes, they will return for more. |
Quote of the day: Stay tuned for more. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
