spillway at the Mississippi River dam in Brainerd where Potlatch made paper for
many years. |

The area is a great
spot for fishing. It is very common to see people trying their
luck. bringing in Trout, Bass, and Northern. |

Less than a half mile from the
river is Gilbert Lake, home of Gilbert Lodge. Plenty of boating
activity there. |
 |
|
Paddleboards and kayaks
are popular there too. Nice calm waters without a river current. |
 |
|
Calm waters most of the
time, that is. Jet skis are fun on Gilbert too. |
 |
|
Yes, Gilbert has clean
recreational water. |
 |
|
The lake is a favorite spot for fishermen as well. |
