Saturday, June 10, 2017: The annual Chalkfest was going on at Arbor Lakes on the northwest corner of the Twin Cities.

Artists young and old alike were out
coloring a three block long area of street with chalk. |

It all takes time. This one from the Wizard of OZ looked good so far. |

A huge amount of effort and artistry went into this year's display. |

Yes, there was C-3PO from Star Wars taking shape. |

Lots of fun ones too. |

Some were very finely done. |

Deep Diver Paula liked this one. |

Mark liked the grainy character on this one. It showed real spirit.

This was not chalk, but it sure drew onlookers. |
