Saturday, March 18, 2017:  The 43rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade was held in Crosslake, Minnesota, to the delight of a thousand or more people.

Everyone dressed and bearded for the occasion.

Then the parade started with horses and a police car.  To be exact it was Car 54.
You might remember the "Car 54 Where are You?" television series which aired on NBC from 1961 to 1963.

Lots of green floats that day.

Yes, you could get lucky at Moonlight Bay.

More Irish, or those who whished they were Irish.

Here is a float from an Italian place telling everyone they are Irish.  Is there any truth in advertising nowadays?

Over 100 parade entries that day.  The largest display ever.  Part of it was mild mid 40 degree weather.

Everyone was Irish that day.

Lots to see.

Wow!! Just look at the Studebaker!

All parades need to end with someone or something to pick up trash....as this one did.

Quote of the day:    Everyone was Irish that day.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
