Sunday,
September
18, 2016: Mark
and Paula traveled up the north shore of Lake Superior to see the
sights.
One kayak had a dog aboard to enjoy the day. What a way to see and
appreciate the water!
Lots of people enjoying the lake
front that day with "diamonds on the water," as friend Karen Engen would say.
Water seems to attract people.
They sit and wonder at it. In this case, it was at Two Harbors,
Minnesota.
Then there is the
Light House Bread
and Breakfast. It is also open for tours to the public.
The bridge
of a ship overlooks the lake at the B&B with its radar and navigation equipment
while statues of a boy and a girl courting is nearby in a fountain.
Yes, life has many avenues of interest.
Boats, people, and water. The
three go together.
Then there is the mansion high on a
cliff overlooking Lake Superior. What a view it must be.
There are tunnels along the way to
make the trip interesting.
Well, Paula found a beaver and a
handsome voyager. She has many interests.
Wooden boats on the water as they might have been one
hundred years ago.
Mark and Paula decided to spend a few
nights in Grand Marais, Minnesota, overlooking the water and seeing the
sights.
