Tuesday, August 2, 2016:
Opening day of the
Crow Wing County Fair in Brainerd,
Minnesota.
Volunteers from the Brainerd American legion, the Brainerd VFW, and the Crow Wing Chapter 22 of the Disabled American Veterans were there to coordinate parking. Plenty of animals to see at the fair including this friendly Alpaca. |
Horses and cows
are always a big draw at the fair. |
|
Yes, farming is still viable
in Crow Wing County. |
|
Then it happened, food started
to show up. |
|
Yes, food of all
kinds was being prepared. Mark's favorite is a turkey
drumstick. |
|
Then stopping at the
Honey
booth for ice cream with honey was a must before heading out
to see the clowns. |
|
Music ran almost full
time at the fair. Just right to get up and dance to. |
|
And then there was a choice of
funnel cake with cheries or a chocolate malt. Paula chose
the latter. |
|
Sunset that
evening was spectacular. |
Quote of the day: A fitting end to a good day. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
