Sunday afternoon,
April 3, 2016:
Trap and skeet shooters were out at the Lakeshore Rod and Gun Club, just west of Gull Lake. |

This competition was with high school students shooting moving
clay "pigeon" targets. |

Brainerd Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post 255 is one of the major sponsors of the activity. |

There were a fair number of hits causing clay to scatter
everywhere. |

![]() |
Plenty of spent shotgun shells on the ground. |
Then it was time to reload
the clay pigeon launcher. |

More shooting. It was individual and
team competition. |
![]() |
They learned gun handling and gun safety.
At the end of the day, it was time to compare scores and plan for the next gathering. |
