Saturday,
April 2, 2016:
Retired Minneapolis Channel 4 Television news anchor Don Shelby performed at the Central Lakes College in Brainerd. Witty and poking fun at himself, Shelby performed his version of Mark Twain.
|
It was a (Samuel
Clemens/Mark Twain's) story
of growing up on the Mississippi River and wanting to be a
riverboat pilot with lots of funny adventures along the way.
Mark Twin is actually a riverboat term meaning the water is deep
enough for a boat. Nicely done. |
|
An interesting
part came after the performance when Shelby removed his makeup
including his nose. He said it takes two hours to put on makeup and costume before every performance including hair, mustache, freckles, and age spots. |
|
The audience loved it. |
Quote of the day: Glad we stayed to see it all. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
