         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, September 24, 2015:  Mark and Paula headed down the Needles Highway.  Beautiful scenery.
 

....and then there were those tunnels!  Just wide enough for one car at a time, it took courtesy and patience to get through.
 
Even this one was just wide enough for one car.
 
Nice calm lakes too.

Along the way, they came upon the Prairie Berry Winery near Hill City, SD, and stopped in to try the latest.
Mark liked the Rhubarb and the Pumpkin Bog wine.

His family color is brown!
 
Leave it to Paula to come across some donkeys while she was at the wheel. 

Hmmm. looks like a Facebook photo in the making.

Paula likes animals and they like her. 

Fortunately there were some cowboys handy in case the animals got out of line.
It was a great day for someone to kayak across one of the are lakes.  Diamonds on the water.
 
More great scenery with tall hills and trees along narrow roads.
 
Mark and Paula checked into the Sylvan Lake Lodge and Resort.  Nice place and great food.  The moon was almost full that night with clear skies and mild temperatures.

There's another route pointer up ahead.
