July 6, 2015:
Sharp-eyed Paula spotted this White Lotis Nymphaea Ampla Water Lily Pad Flower. It was just off the dock at Gilbert Lodge. When it comes to water, Deep Diver Paula doesn't miss much. |
Then it was out on the Minnow for a tour of Gilbert
Lake. Paula stuck a ruler to the front gate so she can measure fish that she might catch. Wishful thinking! |
|
It was a good day for people to be out on the lake even if one person is a bit heavier than the other causing a vessel to tilt to one side a bit. | |
Pontoon boats are popular on Gilbert. Very stable and great for guests, girls, and parties. |
|
Then there are the weeds.
They grow well at this time of year and catch on boat motors. |
July 7, 2015: Neighbors
Ross and Tammy Bengston stopped over to say Hi. They are a fun couple with six children. The good part is that they brought a bottle of their own wine. It is Gilbert Lake Reserve, a Pinot Grigio by Ross & Tammy, spring 2015. They said it would need to age a bit before enjoying. |
July 17, 2015: Bengston sons
(l-r) James and Jason topped over to visit. James enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Jason is in the U.S. Army. Both are bright young men with promising careers ahead. |
Quote of the day: Always fun when friends and neighbors stop by. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
