         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, June 4, 2015:  It was out on Gilbert Lake with friends Dave and Jean Schaeffer in their boat in the evening.  Paula and Jean are always intent on conversation.  The guys were upfront piloting the vessel.  Jean brought along some "squirrel cookies."  Interesting and delicious recipe.

Fishermen were out trying their luck.  Gilbert Lake has Northern Pike, Blue Gill, Bass, and Crappie.  
Minnesota loons are often seen on Gilbert lake.  This time of year with their young.
 
Yes, it was nice to see a warm fire on that evening.  The air temperature was a bit cooler than summer, but still great to be out in. 
The sun cast a golden glow over the water that night.
