Brainerd's famous concrete water tower
at sunset. The location is Sixth and Washington Streets. Pipestone,
Minnesota, has the only other one like it. Both are on the U.S. National
Register of Historic Places and are icons of the cities they represent.
The one in Brainerd has often been referred to as Paul Bunyan's Flashlight.
It was built by continuously pouring concrete until rising to a height of 141
feet in 1918. The
