         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, October 22, 2014: 

The November/December issue of the Lake Country Journal hit the news stands.

The front cover features a photograph by Mark.

The issue honors our military veterans. 

He is very proud and humble that they chose his work.

Mark and Paula are long-time subscribers to the Lake Country Journal.

Mark recently received the "People's Choice" award for photography at Picturing 2014 in Brainerd with these three photos:
This one is from December 6, 2013, as a ship was leaving the Duluth, Minnesota, harbor headed into the mist on a cold winter day.  It is titled, "Venturing Out."
 
From February 23, 2014, this is "Turtle in the Mist" taken at the Como Park Conservatory in the Twin Cities.
 
Finally, the Stone Arch Bridge as seen on June 23, 2014.  The view is looking south into Minneapolis in the early evening across the Mississippi River.
