Friday, October 24, 2014: 

Chimney sweep Christoper O'Dell showed up from Complete Chimney Care to clean the Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge.

Not exactly straight out of Mary Poppins, but he is a member of the National Chimney Sweep Guild and is CSIA Certified.
Up on the roof he went to get access to the chimney.

A fearless man and he knew what he was doing.
Then there was the hearth end of the chimney to be cleaned too.

It is a dirty job, but someone needs to do it.

He even wore hearing protection.
Yes, Chris O'Dell is a real chimney sweep and has been for 14 years.

His wife Stephanie runs the office.
