New Years Eve. |
Mark and Paula went for a 50 minute walk on Gilbert Lake late in
the afternoon. Along the way, they came across three fish houses and several snow angels. Other markings looked a bit like crop circles, but they knew better.....maybe! |
There is a skating and hockey rink on the ice near the island. Great fun in 7 degree weather. Fortunately there was very little wind. |
Some kind person plowed a trail on the lake for skaters and
walkers.
Yes, this was the last sunset of 2012. |
Fine wine and friends go together. |
Karen Engen stopped over to ring in the new year with Mark and
Paula. Always good to see Karen. She is a fun person. The temperature dropped to 10 degrees below zero at midnight and was 16 below zero by morning. Mark said it would be a cold day before 2013 arrived! |
Tip of the day: To avoid morning hangovers, use only fresh ice in drinks. Stale ice is the real cause of hangovers. |
Quote of the day: Here comes 2013. What will it bring? Time will tell. Stay tuned to this blog. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
