It started out years ago as a way to draw people to Aitkin at the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.  All the promoters could think of as an attraction was to parade fish houses down main street.  Later it became much more drawing people from long distances.

There was some light snow falling during the parade, but almost no one paid any attention.  Minnesota and snow go together like ham and eggs in the winter.
