         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, October 17, 2012: 

Chef Paula was busy at the grill on the Promenade Deck of Gilbert Lodge preparing her famous Beer Can Chicken. 

The bird was perched atop a beer can and cooked to perfection.

On the plate with baked beans, it was excellent.

Just after 7 PM that evening, the International Space Station flew over from west to east in the clear northern sky. 

It was visible for less than a minute in this location with trees obscuring much of the horizon.

You can see it just above Gilbert Lodge as lights in the Lodge Library shown into the night. 

Mark waved, but wasn't sure if they saw him.  Mark attended Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama some 20 years ago and learned to fly the Space Shuttle.  See: http://mwpersons.com/mark/Mark's-Page.html
