         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Tuesday, September 18, 2012:  Members of the Paddle Pushers Kayak Club came by Gilbert Lodge.  They meet about twice a week, each time on a different lake in the area to paddle, see the scenery, and socialize.  About 15 came by that night.

Soon they were off to other parts of Gilbert Lake.

There was a mishap while Mark was photographing them.  He dropped his eye glasses in the water off the end of the dock.

Paula, wet hair and all, had been out SCUBA diving that evening helping at a Discover SCUBA class. 

She donned her diving gear again and went out searching for the glasses with a high powered underwater light. 

No luck that night.

Paula went out again the next morning and found the eye glasses tangled in weeds.

They were five feet down and four feet horizontal from the drop point.

Mark's comment was, "They needed washing anyway." 

The glasses were good as new after cleaning and drying.

Nice to have a certified SCUBA diver on staff at Gilbert Lodge.
