12, 2012:
Mark was south of Brainerd and spotted at least 30 snowplows in caravans
on the road.
What was this all about? Answer: Snowplow drivers came in from all over the state, with their big rigs, for a training session at Camp Ripley, north of little Falls, Minnesota.. |

Later in the day, Mark and about 150 other people
attended a 1-3/4 hour presentation at the Crosslake, Minnesota, Community
Center. The speaker was Bob Bundgaard, who was Manager of KLKS Radio for
18 years. The station was recently sold to
Minnesota Christian Broadcasters
and the format is now Christian music for a younger crowd.
Bob explained how KLKS Radio was tied for #1 in the ratings, but the economy and other forces prompted the station board to sell out. Along the way, KLKS touched the lives of many loyal senior listeners who now feel lost without the familiar voices of Bob and the rest of the staff. He said, "Life is a banquet and I don't know what is coming next." We wish him well. |
Quote of the day: Interesting how life and the landscape change as time goes by. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
