The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Monday, September 3, 2012:  Mark and Paula headed north through Door County, Wisconsin.

A beautiful trip with Lake Michigan on the right side and majestic roads ahead.

It wasn't long before they were at the northern tip of Door County looking out at the water and a ferry boat.

Soon they were heading on the ferry to Washington Island.

Mark was a busy guy watching to make sure all was going well.
The ferry captain did his job bringing passengers and cars across the 5-mile gap to Washington Island.

Mark and Paula landed safely on Washington Island after the ferry captain used controls at the rear of the vessel to bring it in to the dock.

This is a normal procedure that he does on each crossing.

Then it was off to explore the Washington Island.

Who could go there without stopping at the famous Albatross Drive-In restaurant?

Best burgers on the island.

They even serve great malts and ice cream that sometime has eyes!

Hmm...What is this?

Is there another adventure in store for Mark and Paula?

Time will tell!
