Mark and Paula headed north through Door County, Wisconsin. A beautiful trip with Lake Michigan on the right side and majestic roads ahead.
|
|
|
It wasn't long before they were at the northern tip of Door
County looking out at the water and a ferry boat. Soon they were heading on the ferry to Washington Island. |
|
Mark was a busy guy watching to make sure all was going well. | |
The ferry captain did his job bringing passengers and cars across the 5-mile gap to Washington Island. |
Mark and Paula landed safely on
Washington Island after the ferry captain used controls at the rear of
the vessel to bring it in to the dock.
This is a normal procedure that he does on each crossing. Then it was off to explore the Washington Island. |
|
|
Who could go there without stopping at the famous
Albatross Drive-In
restaurant? Best burgers on the island. |
They even serve great malts and ice cream that sometime has eyes! |
Hmm...What is this?
Is there another adventure in store for Mark and Paula? Time will tell! |
