         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Tuesday, July 10, 2012:  The wild flowers at Gilbert Lodge were going well. 

Just enough rain and sunshine to keep them happy.
Good friends Andrea and Shane Toven showed up for a visit.  Shane is Director of Engineering for Wyoming Public Radio and the two are Smiling Dog Systems with very innovative software for broadcasters. 
Then it was out on the Minnow for a look around Gilbert Lake.

They discovered some young people trying to wakeboard.  This is where a deep-running boat creates a wake so that a person can ride the wake behind the boat.  Extra people sit on the boat stern to get a larger/deeper water wake.

It is a bit tricky.  The wake rider uses a rope to get started and then drops the rope to rid without the boat pulling.  Not an easy stunt. 

After a great dinner at Grizzly's Restaurant, it was off to the Cold Stone Creamery for some fabulous ice cream.
