Monday, June 25, 2012: With 4.5 inches of rain recently, plants are doing well at Gilbert Lodge.

Wild flowers are the landscaping at the lodge.   

Does anyone know what these are?  e-mail us please.

Answer:  Indian Blanket (Gaillardia pulchella)
Other common names:  Firewheel, Showy Gaillardia
Family:  Asteraceae (Sunflower)

Deer are a common site in this area.  They are a bit shy though.
Well, quite a sunset...as the Minnow returns to home port.
