         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, May 24, 2012:  Spring is here and it has been a bit rainy.  The National Weather Service radar looks like this often nowadays.  Some 4.7 inches of rain have fallen since the start of May.  More is predicted.  This is actually a good thing as it helps make up for dry conditions experienced over the past few years.

05/28/12 Update:  The May rainfall was measured at 9.05 inches...more than three time the average for this area of 3.0 inches. 

This photo was taken near the entry way at Gilbert Lodge.  Driftwood, brought up from the lake, is there.
Flowers on the grounds are doing well.
Rain drops sit on leaves and the plants love it.
Paula found herself in her new hammock on the Promenade Deck at Gilbert Lodge.  She enjoys reading stories on her Kindle.
Paula also really likes desserts.....especially anything with chocolate.
