Saturday, April 21, 2012: Mark and Paula were off to the Central Lakes College for an evening of music. It was a full house at the Chalberg Theatre. |
Leon
Redbone played acoustic guitar, whistled, and sang to the delight of
the crowd. Born in 1947, he is one of the last of the crooners.
His 40 year career of performing and recording 15 albums of music from
across the 20th century includes Tin Pan Alley and folk jazz songs from
the depression and WWII era. Redbone's distinctive voice has been
heard many on television programs and commercials.
He was a most versatile and interesting person to listen to. |
Quote of the day: There is no substitute for live music. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
