         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, April 14, 2012:  Andria and Shane Toven joined Mark in Las Vegas.  Shane is Director of Engineering for Wyoming Public Radio.  All three are geeks and proud of it when comparing their smart phones.

They met in the old downtown on Freemont Street.  This place has gained fame and now is known as the Freemont Street Experience. 

 
Mark was wearing a "geek" tie that Shane and Andria had given him as a gift some months back.  The tie has all kinds of tech words and vacuum tubes from the 1930's.

These girls fell all over themselves to be with Mark and his tie.
Oh my gosh!  Spider-Man and Captain America showed up to save the world. 
Mark couldn't pass up the opportunity to get his photo taken with one million dollars in five dollar bills. 

Mark, that is as close as you will ever get to one million smackers!
Gambling joints are everywhere on Freemont Street.
And everyone thought Elvis was dead! 

There he was in 2012 with Mark.

Yes, you were lied to when you were told that Elvis died years ago. 

There were lots of street vendors including those who do caricatures for happy vacationers.

Not a bad likeness.
Signs were everywhere to draw people into casinos.
An overhead light and sound show started at 8 PM to the delight of the thousands who jammed the street. 

It is called Viva Vision and is worth the trip to see.
