Friday, March 30, 2012:  It was the annual Military Chili Cook-Off at WWWI Radio, sometimes called 3WI Radio in Brainerd.  The mid-day event raised money to support the troops and their families.

Morning radio host Lon Schmidt and his side-kick Jimmy V served the best chili of the day.......at least according to them.
They weren't the only ones there.  At least nine groups served chili that day including ladies from the Brainerd American Legion Post 255. 
There was plenty of tasting to the delight of the hundreds who attended.
Even Brainerd Mayor James Wallin showed up to pay his money and sample the chili.
Some came to have lunch with WWWI Radio Owner Jim Pryor (on the right in this photo).
