         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Friday, October 7, 2011:  It was Oktoberfest time at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.  This fund raiser was well attended.
Patrons sampled beer and had a great time doing it.
There was a yodeling contest.  This man was excellent and he was the winner two years in a row.   
Many competed in the Hammerschlagen contest.  Hitting a nail with the sharp end of a hammer was no easy task.
This young lady was fascinated by this propane fire through glass beads.  The fixture was from Sculpture by Design of Nisswa, Minnesota.  Very interesting
Who could go to an event like this without eating the local fare?  Bratwurst with sauerkraut and German potato salad. Great stuff.
The event lasted well into the evening.
