         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, September 15, 2011:  Mark was off to Grizzly's Restaurant in Baxter, Minnesota, where he spotted chickens being wood-roasted.  Great looking, smelling, and tasting too.
Mark was there to dine with long-time friend Shane Toven from Laramie, Wyoming.  Shane is a radio broadcast engineer and has seen bears on occasion so he wanted his picture taken with a grizzly.

Shane started out near Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and worked as an engineer at KAXE Radio.  He then moved to a Duluth station, then Minnesota Public Radio in St. Paul, then to Enco Systems in Michigan, and finally to Wyoming Public Radio where he is the Chief Engineer for that state network. 

Shane brought a gift from he and his wife Andrea.  It was a tie with all manner of electronic circuits.  Mark was very happy to get it and will be wearing it often in the future to show off his "geek" status in society.   
Clear skies and a near-full moon graced the skies of the northland that night.  Mark is hoping there will be a full harvest moon when Halloween rolls around.  Stay tuned for that adventure.
