The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Thursday, August 11, 2011: Master Gardener Karen Engen, from the north end of Gilbert Lake, stopped over to collect some plants for her lawn.  Here she is waving goodbye after the pickup.  Her boat is named, the "Gilbert Guppy."
Fisherman Paula went went out that evening.  For a while, she was considering taking her fishing license back to the Department of Natural Resources and asking for a refund.  However, she did catch a few fish that evening.

Paula, are you trying to show off your freckles?

A Minnesota Loon stopped by to check out fishing activities by Mark and Paula in the Minnow.
Here is a happy fisherman Paula with yet another fish that bit the bait on the other end of the line.  The best fishing is normally along about sunset.  That is why Paula is out there at this time of day.

Paula, how big is that fish?

Soon, sunset came to the west end of Gilbert Lake.  Showing across the water, it told everyone that the day was ending.
As the sun set, the moon rose to the east.  It was almost a full moon.  Mark is looking forward to photographing a "harvest moon" in late October this year.

Quote of the day:  Another great day on Gilbert Lake.  Mark < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
