         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, July 28, 2011:  Chef Paula served her famous stuffed peppers doe dinner along with fresh corn from the local farmer's market.    
She followed that with ice cream and fresh raspberries, picked that day from the gardens at Gilbert Lodge.

 
After dinner, Mark and Paula set out on the Minnow for a cruise on Gilbert Lake.  No sooner had they set sail when they ran across these two with kayaks.  These watercraft are fun and just right for most parts of Gilbert Lake.
A little further up the shoreline, these two young brothers were demonstrating their skill at fighting while their grandfather and uncle looked on with concern.  Enough of that....boys!
Paula decided to fish a bay on Gilbert Lake.  She looked a lot like Tom Sawyer while doing so in her bare feet. 

The color is a bit orange from the sunset as seen below.
Ah, there it is setting over Gilbert.
