Thursday, July 21, 2011: There was an antique car show at the Body Works in Baxter, Minnesota. Hundreds showed up to see and remember cars of the past. |
Paula admired this Model A ford from the early 1930's. Reminiscent of the gangster era, she has liked these since her grandfather and father had one. It also reminded Paula of the PT Cruiser, which she owned in recent times. |
Mark thought Paula looked better in this yellow one with an open top. Neither car was for sale and she couldn't afford one if they were for sale. |
Mark gave a thumbs-up to this V8 Ford truck. Now you're talking! |
This Plymouth had a real radio with push-button tuning from the 1950's. It is an AM-only radio, but that is all that was available at the time. |
Kurt Hanson and his friend Chris liked this low-slung mussel car. |
Who could go to a car show without stopping at the 371 Diner, just across the highway? Paula ordered an M&M milkshake. As she said, "It doesn't get any better than this." |
Quote of the day: All in a day's fun in vacationland. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
