         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, July 13, 2011:  The Northland Arboretum in Brainerd held  a Country Sampler Picnic.  It was a fund raiser and was attended by a couple thousand people.

Entertainment included a number of bands.
These cowboys and their dog perform regularly at Nisswa, Minnesota.
This eagle was being carved in front of everyone.
One of the highlights of the event was the pig race.  It was a real crowd pleaser. 
The joke was that the pork dinner you ate that day was yesterday's race looser.  Ouch!
For those who did not want to eat meat, there were healthy salads available with organic dressings.
This young lady couldn't resist having her face painted.
