         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, July 2, 2011:  Mark was trying to get back to Brainerd in heavy holiday traffic along the west side of Mille Lacs Lake.  He was delayed by a full thirty minutes in a stop-and-go, bumper-to-bumper situation.  

When he arrived back in Brainerd, the annual Arts in the Park at Gregory Park in Brainerd was in full swing.  Even the water fountain was looking its best.
There was music everywhere.  Thousands attend this event every year. 
A closer look at the drum sticks. 
One of the real crowd pleasers was the Kettle Corn stand, which was kept very busy filling orders for popcorn. 
More music.  The temperature was in the low 80's with lots of sunlight.
Flags were seen everywhere.   
Brainerd's famous concrete water tower gleamed white against the exceptionally blue sky that day.
