         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Sunday, June 26, 2011: (l-r) Kelsey and Paula.  Mark and Paula attended a going away party for friend/SCUBA diver Kelsey who is headed to Sunnyvale, California, to join her boyfriend and start a new chapter in her life.  She is going to be diving off the coast of California....lucky girl.

The party of a dozen or more well wishers was made up mostly of SCUBA divers from the Brainerd area. 

The event was held at the home of Dave and Sharon Ostrowski.  Here, Dave explained his coal-fired ceramic outdoor cooker to Chef Paula while cooking a turkey, which was excellent.   
Ginny McDonald and Paula surveyed the array of great food for the occasion.  Part of it was Chef Paula's Angel Strawberry Cake.
Soon it was time for a champagne toast.  You have to wonder why we celebrate when someone is leaving!   
Yolf is something like golf and it was played on the lawn that evening to the delight of party guests.  Karen Block was doing her best to sink one.
