Friday, May 20, 2011: Mark and Paula drove down Highway 14 in southern Minnesota remembering the book and weekly television show, Little House on the Prairie. They stopped in Walnut Grove to look around and then headed east. |
The next stop was the German community of New Ulm, Minnesota. How could they go there without stopping at Veigel's Kaiserhoff Restaurant. |
Inside, they ate a German meal. Mark had German bratwurst with sauerkraut. Yavole! Mark was told that if he ate any more of this rich German food that he would start to look like Sergeant Schultz from the television series, Hogan's Heros. |
Later in the day, the Dynamic Duo made their way to Plymouth, a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Dinner was at the Bonfire Restaurant. |
There was a good warm feeling near the fireplace as Mark and Paula dined.
Quote of the day: A warm fire makes a dinner that much better. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |

Hmmm...does that signpost tell us something about where the Dynamic Duo is headed? Stay tuned for the next exciting adventure! |
