Thursday, May 19, 2011:  Mark and Paula received a report from friends that there had been 2 inches of snow overnight in the Black Hills.  And here they thought spring was here to stay! 

There is a signpost up ahead, as seen from the passenger side of Creampuff.  Al's Oasis?....what adventure might the Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula Persons find there?

Well....it was buffalo burgers.  Mark and Paula loved them.  Buffalo is much like ground beef, but with a slightly gamy taste.  The restaurant still has coffee for just 5 cents. 

Here is the Deluxe Buffalo Burger on the plate with fries.  You can't get any better than that and it is from Al's Oasis, near the Missouri River in Chamberlain and Oacoma, South Dakota.

Mark and Paula stopped at KLOH Radio in Pipestone, Minnesota, and visited with Diane Marie who has been an air personality there for more than 25 years. 

Mark started doing broadcast engineering work for the station just before Diane's first child was born.  Now both of her children are grown-up and on their own in the world.  My how times flies!
