The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Friday, May 6, 2011:  The port city of Duluth, Minnesota, is filled with reminders of its sea-going history.  This one can be seen not far from the Lake Superior Marine Museum.

Paula selected Grandma's Saloon and Grill at Canal Park to dine at that evening.

Later she was seen with her friend Captain Morgan.

The Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula Persons stayed at the South Pier Inn that night.  It is directly adjacent to the Aerial Bridge.

From there, you can see the city of Duluth at night with the many radio and television towers on the hill.

The Aerial Bridge looks spectacular at night, as you can see.  Click here or on the photo to see a larger view.

On the lake side of the bridge is a lighthouse.  It shines bright at night to help ships navigate safely into safe harbor.

Paula brought her notebook computer so she could check e-mail and Facebook before turning in for the night.

Nice socks, Paula!
