Friday, May 6, 2011: The port city of Duluth, Minnesota, is filled with reminders of its sea-going history. This one can be seen not far from the Lake Superior Marine Museum. |
Paula selected Grandma's Saloon and Grill at Canal Park to dine at that evening. Later she was seen with her friend Captain Morgan. |
The Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula Persons stayed at the South Pier Inn that night. It is directly adjacent to the Aerial Bridge. |
From there, you can see the city of Duluth at night with the many radio and television towers on the hill. |
The Aerial Bridge looks spectacular at night, as you can see. Click here or on the photo to see a larger view. |
On the lake side of the bridge is a lighthouse. It shines bright at night to help ships navigate safely into safe harbor. |
Paula brought her notebook computer so she could check e-mail and Facebook before turning in for the night. Nice socks, Paula! |
