Friday, April 29, 2011:  The annual Chili Cook-Off was held at WWWI Radio in Brainerd.  Hundreds of hungry people showed up to sample chili from 19 different military and civic groups. 

The Heartland Detachment of the Marine Corps League was voted the #1 choice by chili samplers that day.     

The Army took second place.

Lon Schmidt, morning personality at WWWI Radio, was serving chili from the radio station, which took the #3 award. 

Mark "Chili Taster" Persons voted them #1.  

These ladies from the Air Force served great chili too.    

Even the Navy was there with chili that had beans.    

Everyone agreed it was great chili for a worthy cause.  Money raised was used to support our nation's military in far off lands.
