         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, February 24, 2011:  One of the first signs of spring is when the Dairy Queen opens in Brainerd.  It is along Washington Street on the east bank of the mighty Mississippi River.  Closed over the winter, it is open now in spite of the snow.  
Mark and friend Jim Barry dined at the Brainerd American Legion Club that evening.  Chef Bob Herting cooked and served his "world famous rib dinner" to the delight of the many who attended.
