Saturday, January 22, 2011: The Brainerd Jaycees held their annual $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza on Gull Lake, near Gilbert Lodge. The event is a fund raiser for charity. |
Over 10,000 fishermen and
fisherwomen went out onto the lake with American flags flying on both

The overnight temperature
was 14 degrees below zero and it rose to about zero degrees on that

Schultz from Donsman, Wisconsin, landed the winning fish, a 7.18 pound
Northern in 11 feet of water.
