The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Thursday, January 20, 2011:  Recent snow settled on pine trees in the area.  Snow is usually followed by clear skies and cold temperatures in Minnesota, sometimes pronounced Minne-sno-ta!

A close-up view of snow on a pine against the blue sky.

At least we know where we are so we can make our way back to Gilbert Lodge.

With this clear weather, the moon shown brightly for everyone to see.  Clear weather means cold conditions.

Editor's note:  The high temperature on this day was one degree above zero.  The low overnight was 25 degrees below zero with a high predicted at 1 degree above zero on Friday.  That's Minnesota!

Only 56 days until St. Patrick's Day!

Quote of the day:  Winter and Minnesota go together like ham and eggs.   Mark < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
